SOUNDGARDEN To Perform Entire 'Superunknown' Album At SXSW's iTunes Festival

Reunited grunge legends SOUNDGARDEN will perform their groundbreaking album, "Superunknown", in its entirety on Thursday, March 13 at the iTunes Festival during South By Southwest at ACL Live at the Moody Theater in Austin, Texas. The event will be streamed live via the via iTunes store, available on all personal computers and mobile devices. Those with iOS devices or Apple TV can use the iTunes Festival app to stream the performance in HD.

To celebrate the March 8, 1994 release of "Superunknown", SOUNDGARDEN has decided to reissue two special deluxe editions of the album on June 3. The "Superunknown Deluxe Edition" will consists of two CDs featuring the remastered album and a second disc containing demos, rehearsals, B-sides and more. The "Superunknown Super Deluxe Edition" will be a five-CD package including the remastered album, additional demos, rehearsals and B-sides. The fifth disc is the album mixed in Blu-ray surround sound.

"Super Deluxe Edition" will be packaged in a hardcover book and feature liner notes by David Fricke as well as photos of the band by Kevin Westerberg.

The "Superunknown" singles and b-sides will also be reissued on April 19 as five limited edition ten-inch vinyl records.
